Teaching Principles

Our Accademia is strongly committed in the process of teaching the performing practice on historical instruments, a very advances method in comparison with the conventional teaching technique. Therefore, a fundamental aspect of our work is the connection existing between the composer and his instruments.

Our courses show how to move in this direction and design a method which put the musical instrument in the very centre, in a way that the program is composed with theoretic studies and performing practice on period instruments.

Gian Maria Bonino works along this line, on the binomial composer-instrument.
As an example, student should not think of working on Chopin but rather on Chopin – Pleyel 1841, or Chopin – Erard 1844. And also Liszt – Erard i881, Schubert – Bohem 1824. And so on.
