Arturo Pérez Fur starts his musical education in his hometown Alicante. In 2004 he moves to San Sebastián, where he completes his Bachelor in Piano and Chamber Music.
Due to his interest in historical performance he moves to Germany in 2009 to study harpsichord and fortepiano with Robert Hill and basso continuo with Michael Behringer at the Musikhochschule Freiburg. He thereafter broaden his experience at the Royal Conservatory in the Hague, where he studies with Bart van Oort (fortepiano) and Patrick Ayrton (basso continuo and improvisation). In addition, he has attended masterclasses with René Jakobs, Wieland Kuijken, Jacques Ogg, Robert Levin, Malcolm Bilson, Ottavio Dantone, etc.
Arturo performs regularly on both harpsichord and fortepiano. As soloist he has collaborated with the orchestra Bach Collegium Freiburg in the production of Bach concertos for harpsichord and orchestra. As continuo player he has participated in the production of operas (L’Orfeo, Ensemble Résonnances; La serva padrona Kammerphilarmonie ZH) and orchestral projects with musicians such as Gottfried von der Goltz and Fabio Bonizzoni. He has been appointed harpsichord accompanist at the masterclasses organized by Freiburger Barokorkester in 2012 and 2013.
He is founder member of the baroque ensemble L’Estro Armonico, with which he performs in Germany and Switzerland.
At the moment Arturo prepares the edition of a set of unpublished sonatas from the composer W. Wodiczka, which will be published during 2014.
In additional to his musical activity, Arturo Pérez holds a lifelong interest in Humanities. He currently courses a Master in Philosophy by the Spanish University for Distance Studies (UNED).
He is in the team of the Young Artists of the Accademia Villa Bossi in Bodio (Varese – Italy).
