The Accademia Villa Bossi offers high formation programs which are designed to complete the Conservatory studies and to facilitate the transition of a young musician from students life into his future profession, helping him to understand an approach properly the world of work.

With this purpose, our educational system also includes a wide program of concerts, lessons for individual promotion and for artists management.

The Beginning of a Career

A Master Week End at Villa Bossi is a special experience for several reasons. First of all, for the exceptional artistic level of our professors.
Students have at their disposal about 40 musical instruments: harpsichord, organs, clavichords, fortepianos, romantic and modern pianos.
in addition, there are string instruments available: violins, violas and cellos, both in the Baroque and Classic style, together with a wide choice of bows.
Villa Bossi offers a comfortable accommodation which allows students to practice the whole day, from early in the morning till late in the night.
We are close to the airport of Milano Malpensa and to the Varese and Gallarate railway stations.
We also want to recommend students to visit our workshop where we manufacture the above types of instruments.
The exchange of opinions between musicians and instrument makers has been for centuries the background upon which technical improvements and design of new instruments was carried out. We feel that we should go back to these fundamental dialogue.

There is one aspect that makes our Accademia an innovating initiative: the fact that we accompany the students into the real concert world.
Young musicians have the possibility to perform in the concerts of the “Villa Bossi Festival”, either by themselves or together with their professors.

Another option of our educational path is the possibility to realize your CD, in our own Recording Studio, at very interesting conditions.
A CD or a DVD is not only a useful business card, but gives you the emotion and the difficulty of being in front of a microphone.
In conclusion, Villa Bossi is a place that offers several opportunities, in different artistic areas and in a fascinating atmosphere.

The Piano Between Past and Future

For a few years now, the Accademia has been introducing an important news: teaching classes in modern piano which are carried out with special attention to the keyboard instruments of the past, and especially to the late 18th century fortepianos and to the romantic piano of the 19th century.
As already mentioned, studying the itinerary from historical keyboard instruments to modern ones is a fascinating challenge that has become necessary for young musicians if they want to face the strong competition arriving from faraway Countries.
We recommend young musicians to build up a strong cultural background based on a deep knowledge of our history and our traditions in writing music and in manufacturing musical instruments. This knowledge is the key factor that will distinguish students who aim at a high carrier.
